Responsibilities:
Financial Modeling:
Develop and maintain robust financial models for construction projects, including revenue projections, cost estimates, and cash flow analysis.
These models will guide project planning and decision-making.
Budget Management:
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to establish project budgets and monitor financial performance against them.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies for budget optimization.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to senior management and project teams.
Ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with accounting standards.
Cost Analysis:
Analyze project costs, variances, and trends to identify potential issues and opportunities for cost reduction.
Provide actionable recommendations to improve project financial performance.
Cash Flow Management:
Manage project cash flows, ensuring funds are allocated efficiently and in accordance with project needs.
Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risks.
Vendor and Subcontractor Payments:
Oversee the payment process for vendors and subcontractors, verifying invoices, managing payment schedules, and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
Financial Risk Assessment:
Identify and assess financial risks associated with construction projects and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Provide recommendations to senior management on risk management strategies.
Cultural Alignment:
Uphold and promote our company's core values and culture in all financial operations, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Essential skills and
Experience:

years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (can be substituted for experience).
Proven experience as a Construction Controller or similar role in the construction industry.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
Excellent knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel and construction-specific accounting software.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to be a self starter.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
