Carpenter

Mid Atlantic Contracting, Inc. (MAC) is actively seeking Carpenters to join their team for projects in the DC/Maryland area. Established in 1995, Mid Atlantic Contracting is a leader in the wireless industry, general contracting, and construction management services in the Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia area.
Summary:
Responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures, fixtures, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel. Candidates for this position must have at least 2 years carpentry experience.
Primary responsibilities:
+ Form, finish, and/or trim carpentry experience required
+ Must have experience with steel/metal and wood framing
+ Must have experience using power tools and equipment
+ Work with blueprints and instructions from supervisors
+ Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall
+ Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures
+ Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
+ Work on top of scaffolding, ladders, and the top beams of buildings
+ Check work along the way to ensure it's up to code and specifications
+ Use levels, rulers, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure
+ Create structures for pouring concrete
+ Erect scaffolding
+ Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors
+ Install walls, doors, and windows
+ Must be able to lift 80 lbs. or more
Work is heavy with a M-F schedule, occasional weekend work.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
