YOUR ROLE:
As a full-time Construction Foreman in our Woodbine, MD office, you will play a vital role as the first line supervisor for the field laborers and operators on the specialty construction crew.
Having prior experience in specialty construction work is a MUST:
(ie Compaction Grouting; Temporary/Permanent Support-Of-Excavation Systems Soils Nails/Shotcrete, H-Piles & Lagging, Sheet piling; Conventional Underpinning; Deep Foundations; Chemical Grouting).
In addition, you will assist with scheduling and prioritizing of all drill and construction crews to our projects on a daily basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years of specialty construction experience and safety knowledge on construction projectsAbility to manage and motivate employeesExperience in operating equipment (ie drill rigs, high-powered air compressors, grout/concrete pumps, and various types of excavation equipment)Experience in reading and understanding construction drawings, project specifications, and stakeoutAbility to complete daily paperwork (ie daily reports, safety sheets, timesheets, etc.
)Ability to conduct daily tailgate safety meetings with all personnel assigned to the construction crewAbility to order materials/supplies/equipment for projects and coordinate/schedule with subcontractors and vendors on a daily basisComputer experience (MS proficient) for completion of daily paperworkExceptional organizational skills are requiredExcellent communication skills for interaction with clients/owners/inspection agenciesMust be able to work out of town for extended periods of time on projectsGood driving recordProblem solving abilityMust be able to multi-task and prioritize dutiesStrong work ethic/team player attitudeTypical work day is 6:
00 AM to5:
00 PM Monday Friday.
However, additional hours and/or Saturdays may be necessary.
